No One Likes a Hypocrite, Greg Davis

Booneville, Miss . – Republican Greg Davis is continuing his negative campaign tactics, this time against Prentiss County Chancery Clerk Travis Childers. Davis is also continuing his hypocritical ways, attacking his opponent when Davis is the one with the bad record.

For instance, Greg Davis attacked Travis Childers on taxes. Yet, Greg Davis raised taxes 4 times , including property taxes, gas taxes and water fees. ( Source : The Commercial Appeal, May 1, 1997; The Commercial Appeal, August 20, 1998)

Greg Davis and his Republican friends are also attacking Travis Childers on his nursing homes. Yet, Greg Davis opposes tax relief for seniors . ( Source : The Commercial Appeal , February 20, 2001)

"It's time for Greg Davis to stop these hypocritical attacks," said Joel Coon, Childers' Campaign Manager. "Davis is trying to distract from his own record of raising taxes on working families and seniors by continuing his negative tactics. Someone should tell Greg Davis that no one in Mississippi likes a hypocrite."
