Travis Childers Out-Raises Opponent More Than 2:1, Receives Bipartisan Support

Booneville , MS – Yesterday's FEC filings showed Travis Childers (D-MS) raising more than twice as much money in the third quarter as his opponent. Childers was also able to draw the financial support of high profile Republican names and organizations, demonstrating significant crossover and bipartisan support.

Between July 1 and September 30, 2008, Childers brought in $370,546.81, with $302,206.55 cash on hand. Childers' contributions totaled $573,337.51 for the cycle to date.

Crossover contributors include BGR PAC, the political action committee of a consulting firm where Governor Haley Barbour formerly served as principal.
